FAQ's

• I'm an athlete and get sore cracked nipples that can be very painful when I do outdoor sports. Which nipple balm would you recommend?

  Our most healing blend is the Love Me nipple balm. It contains ingredients that are both preventative and curative as well as being very soothing.

• Can I nurse my newborn baby after applying your nipple balm?

  For babies under 3 months I recommend applying the Natural Mama nipple balm after you've nursed. Wash the nipples thoroughly with our organic Roman Chamomile hydrosol prior to nursing. It will help soothe the nipples as well as be calming for the baby. The Roman Chamomile hydrosol also works wonders on diaper rash and cradle cap! • Can I use your nipple balms on my lips or other parts of my body?

  Most definitely! For a hot sensation try little Devils Delight on the clitoris or Mocha Mint for a cool sensation applied on either the head of the penis or on the clitoris.They all make lovely lip balms too of course and are fine applied wherever you fancy.

• I left my jar of your gorgeous Chocolate Body Butter out on the shelf in the sun and it all melted. Is it still O.K?

  It's perfectly fine. Simply pop it into a cool place for awhile and it will harden right back up.

• Should I keep my Body Bar in the fridge when I'm not using it?

  It's not really necessary to put it in the fridge as long as you keep it wrapped up and away from heat.

• What's the shelf life on your Body Butters?

  The shelf life on the body butters is about 2 years if stored in a cool, dark place tightly closed and away from any heat source.

  
• My 5 year old took a bite out of your Chocolate Orange massage melt body bar. Should I be concerned?

  There's no problem for your child. Everything in the body bars and body butters are totally natural and edible. The only concern would be your child wanting more and not leaving any for you!

• Can I use the Body Butter as a sex lubricant?

  Our Body Butters are very lubricating and feel fabulous either vaginally or anally applied but they are not latex compatible. Please play Safe!

• Is the Isisexotica lubricant safe to use while pregnant?

  I recommend using the unflavoured lubricant while pregnant.

• Is your isisexotica lubricant o.k. to use with sex toys?

  Most definitely.

  
• I'm going through menopause and find I need extra lubrication even when I'm not having sex. What do you recommend?

  Our unflavoured Isisexotica makes a fine natural lubricant. You could also try a little jojoba oil which has almost the identical same structure as the sebum production in human skin and hair. You can find it on our isis site.@ www.isis.ca

  At Isis Essentials we also carry Vitex essential oil (for progesterone balance) as well as a menopausal formula we make call menoessence. Both these products have shown to work wonders for vaginal dryness due to hormonal changes.

• Does your lubricant contain glycerin?

  Our lubricant does contain a small amount of a kosher vegetable glycerin which acts as a natural humecant. We can make one for you without the glycerin as a special order if you like if glycerin is problematic for you. Please contact us for further information.

• I really like the way your personal lubricant feels on my skin. Can I use it as an all over body moisturizer?

  Absolutely.

• I'm prone to yeast infections and find many of the lubricants on the market exasperate the problem. Will Isisexotica personal lubricant help alleviate this problem?

  Our personal lubricant will help alleviate some of the symptoms associated with candidas as it contains ingredients that are anti fungal and PH balancing as well as being quite soothing. The problem needs to be addressed internally in the long term though.

  
• What's the shelf life on Isis exotica personal lubricant?

  I would say about one year just to be safe. I do have a bottle that I first made around 18 months ago or more that I've subjected to all kinds of bacteria and unfavourable conditions that hasn't spoiled or deteriorated in any way. It even tastes fresh still!

• I just got a full back tattoo done in full colour. I'm quite large and was wondering if your complete tattoo kit would be enough ?

  Probably. We do carry each product individually if you run out of something.

• Is your tattoo lube water or oil based?

  Our Tattoo Lube is water based allowing the skin to breathe and heal naturally. It feels light and silky and has a nice cool sensation. Really helps getting rid of that itch!

• One of my nipple piercings is infected. What should I do?

  Wash the area thoroughly with the Isis castile soap with tea tree. Use the Isis organic floral water saline solution 4-5x daily while rotating the ring. Keep it clean. Use the calendula healing oil after a day or two to help speed up the healing and reduce inflammation and scar tissue. No touching or kissing the nipple and no swimming until it's completely healed.

• I've had my belly button pierced for over a year and it just got infected. What should I do?

  Follow the same instructions as the one above. Keep the area free from constricting clothing that could irritate it further. Low riding pants or skirts work best. Also consider wearing good quality jewelry as some of the cheap stuff on the market tends to aggravate some individuals more than others.

• I just got a Prince Albert piercing. Will the Isis saline solution irritate my penis?

  It shouldn't. I haven't had any reports to date of it being at all irritating.
